Eating too much sugar can lead to dangerous health problems

Whatever your age, consuming too much sugar is linked to tooth decay and all sorts of health problems such as obesity. In Sheffield, poor diet and being overweight is contributing to long-term ill-health in our city, with a growing number of adults living with diabetes and/or high blood pressure.

We’re on a mission to change that! By helping everyone understand more about the negative effects of sugar and the positive actions you can take to combat them.

About Sheffield’s Sweet Enough

Sheffield’s Sweet Enough is a campaign run by Sheffield City Council and partners to help local families, food businesses, schools and healthcare professionals tackle the harms caused by eating too much sugar.

Together with our partners, which includes the NHS, Sheffield’s universities, colleges, Trading Standards and the voluntary sector, we’re here to share helpful facts, sugar swaps, tips and advice for all ages.
